Some days, checking the blog is nothing short of just as good as having eaten (and not felt guilty for)  a slice of vanilla bean cheesecake that surely was at least sixteen thousand, four hundred and eighty two calories.

Today, I found a comment to an old post, and it prompted me to go check the stats for an even older post.

It all started when I was trying to win $500 from Fuelmyblog (which I did, and thank you all for voting) and I realized that some other bloggers were being sneaky about it. I won’t name names… but you know who you are.

So someone wrote a post and promised nude pictures of me. I decided if anyone was going to get votes that way it should be me, and so I wrote my own post taunting readers with nude pictures of me. Later, it surprised me that people were actually clicking to see those “nude pictures” of me, and so I wrote about that too.

Today, that’s the post that received a new comment.

I clicked on the link in that old post and remembered how shocked I’d been to find that there had been 786 views to the post taunting ‘nude pictures of fracas’. I decided to check it out in the blog stats again today, and that… is what truly makes it a better-than-vanilla-bean-cheesecake kind of day.

It might not be as big an audience as is had by the Vanessa Hudgins’ of the world, but hey… I’m not going to complain, and you know… I’m sure all of those clicks are from good, decent people and not all the really weird people who search for nude pictures of underage Miley Cyrus.

So who needs cheesecake? Thanks to a certain commenter, I’m having a great day.
