Gypsy Fra-Kitty here. Have you ever noticed how fracas thinks she knows everything? Take her predictions for who would get thrown out of the American Idol litterbox tonight. Meow. I almost coughed up a hairball. Sure, she got three out of four right, but I ask… is that what we should expect from someone who supposedly knows it all?
Mreeeooooooooooow.
I predict none other than Amy Davis, Joanne Borgella, Garrett Haley and Colton Berry will be singing from the fence tonight, instead of the Idol Mansion.
Pinch my whiskers and feed me Purina, but I, Gypsy Fra-Kitty, am always 100% right. I tell you though, if the show
doesn’t get more exciting than watching those four, I’m going back to my real favorite show.
And one more thing. The opening photo? That one’s all over the place. I like my version better. At least in this, I can agree with the fracas!

American Idol - First gals overboard.
In my previous post I wrote about who I think will be the first two guys to be sent home this season and it just wouldn’t be right to not state my suspicions about the gals.
I have to disagree with Randy when he said that the girls might’ve had an edge over the guys. I was thoroughly unimpressed with most of the performances. Even the few that were praised, I felt deserved a bit more on the “started out poor but got better” or “we can tell you can sing but boy was that ever a poor song choice for you” category.
I think in both cases, the gals who I feel will likely go home are gals who can sing… but just blew it their first time up. I’ll start with Joanne. Choosing Dionne Warwick was a bad idea not just because it wasn’t her kind of song (she sounded off pitch and kind of screamy/whiney) but with the success of My Best Friend’s Wedding (in which the “twins” steal the performance when that song was sung by the entire wedding party at a wedding-related luncheon) no one can likely hear the song without remembering the movie scene. Despite it being Dionne Warwick’s song, it’s been stolen out from under her Whitney Houston related feet. I couldn’t listen to Joanne singing it without bits of the movie flashing in my head. So, for poor song choice and a shaky performance, I think Joanne will be of the first expendable contestants.
And then there’s Amy. Poor Amy. We see the poise and grace she has, and we’re sure she can
sing, but honestly… if she thought she could pull off Patsy Kline, we wonder if she really knows who she is as a performer. Unless you’re Leanne Rimes, you’d better not try Patsy. I wouldn’t say her performance was worse that Brooke’s, but I think Brooke has that whole “will Simon lure her over to the dark side” thing going and the audience will want to see if indeed, a darker, sexier Brooke comes out to get the votes. I think she’ll be kept around for the tease factor that she brings.
And that… is what fracas thinks. Gypsy Fra-Kitty will post next about American Idol, sharing her predictions after the results show tonight. That Fra-Kitty. She kills me.
