I live in Saskatchewan.
Monday, I wrote my Melee about winter.
Tuesday, rotten weather rolled in (complete with a storm warning from Environment Canada) warning of snow, strong winds and following that… a sudden drop in temperature. Though not nearly what happened last year, it was not a lovely day. Today, I came across a post that I knew immediately I needed to share. Often, when this happens to me, the post comes from bluepaintred’s blog. Go check her out today and you’ll know why. The woman is just damn funny. And she lives almost right next door to me.
Yeah, I’m bragging. So what. Saskatchewan turns out some kick-ass people every now and then. Yessirree.

Okay. It seems I must explain why there is a large golden penis in my left sidebar. If I don’t, I fear that fraccers will totally come unglued. I considered tampering with it (the award that is… shush you bad people, Mr. Fracas knows I wouldn’t tamper with anything of anyone’s but a photo) but didn’t want to offend poor Lord Likely. After all, he awarded it to fracas in good faith, and I would never want to hurt the poor chap’s feelings.
There were suggestions of throwing a wig on it, and I briefly entertained the idea of adding a pair of groucho glasses or maybe even creating some witty protest sign of it… but have managed to control these urges.
I do hope you’re not offended by it being there in the sidebar. After all… no one seems to be bothered by all those bra, breast, boob, leg, stocking, panty and derriere photos of women that seem to pop up in the fraccy blog from time to time. I’d hope the fraccers would just let the ladies have their equal time without too much of a fuss.
But no. For those who might be wondering… I do not have an actual 3D version of the award on my bookshelf. If you really want one, you’ll have to check with Likely himself. Perhaps you could bribe him?
