Medical Myths Even Doctors Believe.

A recent article in The New York Times focused on findings published at BMJ.com

The seven myths featured are:

1. People should drink at least eight glasses of water a day.
2. We use only 10 percent of our brains.
3. Hair and fingernails continue to grow after death.
4. Shaving hair causes it to grow back faster, darker or coarser.
5. Reading in dim light ruins your eyesight.
6. Eating turkey makes people especially drowsy.
7. Cellphones create considerable electromagnetic interference in hospitals.

Fracas knows that despite the logical explanation for #2, there are indeed, many people out there who on a daily basis, must use only 10% of their brains.

Sometimes less even.

Read The New York Times article for more. I’m off to have some turkey. It’s late and I don’t seem to be sleepy.
