Fracas thinks Halloween is a great day that allows young and old alike, to play pretend, get out all their pent up “actor” desires, and eat a lot of junky treats that on any other day, would have moms everywhere behaving like the Wicked Witch of the West.
To help out those who like to partake of the pretend, I’ve compiled some helprul links and information for you.
- Check out Haunted Illinois for your Halloween Midi Music needs, ideas for creating realistic props for your own Haunted House and other great Halloween links.
- Visit the History Channel and learn about The History of Halloween, or check out Wikipedia’s entry on the same. Though most of us celebrate it for the fun, the pretend, the dress-up and (though last but certainly not least) the treats, Halloween has a history.
- Visit The MoNsTer mAsH site, featuring (in loving memory) the original Bobby “Boris” Pickett!
- Read Wikipedia’s entry on the 1960’s novelty song “The Monster Mash”
- IMDb’s Monster Mash: The Movie (1995) page.
And this site. This is The Halloween Treats Site… home to the best splash page I didn’t click away from! Just go enjoy it. Trust me. I’m using this tonight. In fact… I have to tell you that this site had some wonderful food pictures and ideas. All images in this post are to the utter and absolute credit of this site. I love this site. It’s fractastic, fracalicious, fractabulous and just simply the most fraccing thing around. (I really do love that splash page. Yes. Me. The hater of splash pages. I love it.)
And now… for those of you who are old enough to appreciate this, this is for you!
Enjoy!

Comment by nursemyra October 31, 2007 @ 9:38 PMAbsolutely the best Halloween treats I’ve seen yet (this and your next post.) Great job! Halloween has always been my favorite day of the year. I couldn’t do it justice, have all these song lists and spooky clips – no time to play. wahh.
Knew I could count on fracas to give me that good ol’ time Halloween vibe!
Love those eyeballs btw.
Off to do a little mashin’
