To find out how you too, can participate in The Monday Melee, please read the main Monday Melee page, grab The Monday Melee logo (and view the participant list too).

Previously, thanks to Vic, we Melee’d using lyrics, and according to Vic, she’s happy to keep the idea open for anyone to Melee in lyrics anytime they choose. It would be right if you do, to include a link back to Vic as well as here.

Last week I announced two new Melee ideas, and today is the date to launch the first of those. Today, Monday, August 20 is “Melee in Rhyme” day! All you have to do is make your Melee answers rhyme. Grab the button from right here or from the main Melee page, and display it on your post, your sidebar or anywhere you’d like to.

Monday, September 3 will be “Melee at the Movies” day:
All you have to do is use the name of a movie, or a line from a movie to answer your Melee questions, and you’ll be able to grab a button to display on your post, your sidebar or anywhere you’d like to.

As with previous invitations to mess around with the Melee, at the end of this post, I’m posting links to all the people listed on the main Melee list, in hopes that you’ll see a trackfracback and know what’s happening. With more than fifty names on the list, it’s a little hairy trying to do it one at a time.

Fracas’ The Monday Melee for August 20, 2007

1. The Misanthtropic: Name something (about humanity) you absolutely hate.

I hate it when people aren’t honest,
when they steal, or cheat someone they know…

2. The Meretricious: Expose something or someone that’s phony, fraudulent or bogus.

It’s so phony when they pretend they’re your family
when you can’t trust them far as they, you can throw.

3. The Malcontent: Name something you’re unhappy with.

I’m unhappy that anyone has this
to live with and explain to their young…

4. The Meritorious: Give someone credit for something and name it if you can.

Because in this world that some see as a tarpit
there are good folks I know we are among.

5. The Mirror: See something good about yourself and name it

I refuse to be conquered by the dishonest,
will not let them make me bitter or blue…

6. The Make-Believe: Name something you wish for.

I’ll continue to look for the good side,
and hope good gets the better of you!

Now it’s your turn.

You can take part in The Monday Melee, even make it a regular feature at your site by visiting The Monday Melee page and following the steps. Kick-start your brain on Mondays and meet other bloggers.

Wow, you’re a poet too?
This is really good, very strong. I’m going to see what I can do with this weeks theme. It may be a while…

joebec – I’ve been to your blog and know you’ve something weighing on your mind these days. You can Melee in rhyme any week you feel like it. Hugs again about your friend.

Hazel – I’m the worst cheesy poet there is. Click the Read tab and you’ll find other cheesy poems if you really want to. Those aren’t even a drop in the bucket. I’ve a whole folder of stuff that’s never seen the light of day.

Like I said above, Melee in rhyme any old time you like. I’m easy to please!

maiylah – Sure you can! Wait till something sparks, and do it any old week! There’s a little bit of poet in everyone.

Oh I love cheese its my favorite food group.

I have to say this was the hardest one for me to do so far, but as usual the harder you work on something the better the results. Since I began working on the Monday Melee in rhyme, I’ve been completely taken by a few concepts, I hope to post about over the next week or so.

Have a spiffy week Fracas!
