Ok, so probably you don’t have to be a techie head to answer this one. In fact, probably the less you know, the more applicable your answer will be.
I want to know what FTP Client those of you (with their own domains) are using, which you’ve tried and hated, which you’ve tried and love, and why.
I like information. I like to know everything I can know about something before I make my final choices. That’s probably why I’m still not quite at the end of exhausting every free trial on every anti-virus and firewall software that’s available out there. I know what I like now, and what I hate. That’s when I buy.
Oh.. and it frustrates the hell out of the kids.
Bonus!
So please, do post a comment and tell me what you like, what you hate, which you would recommend and which you’d advise people to run screaming from. The learned and the learning alike, I’m interested in what you have to say.

An excerpt from a a letter to beloved friend Mary Haskell, dated March 1, 1918.
- “Silence is painful, but in silence things take form, and we must wait and watch, In us, in our secret depth, lies the knowing element which sees and hears that which we do not see nor hear. All our perceptions, all the things we have done, all that we are today, dwelt once in that knowing, silent depth, that treasure chamber in the soul. And we are more than we think, We are more than we know. That which is more than we think and know is always seeking and adding to itself while we are doing – or think we are doing nothing. But to be conscious of what is going in our depth is to help it along. When subconsciousness becomes consciousness, the seeds in our winter-clad selves turn to flowers, and the silent life in us sings with all its might. This Life reveals much of that which we do not know – but it is Life after death that reveals all.”

“And a youth said, Speak to us of Friendship.
And he answered, saying:
Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the “nay” in your own
mind, nor do you withhold the “ay”.
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all
expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as
the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.
And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.
For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery is not
love but a net cast forth: and only the unprofitable is caught.
And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know the flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.”

It makes a person wonder. All that fuss about how many squares of toilet paper to use, and the solution was right in front of us all the time…

Because I know some of you like clicking little colorful buttons that cause fracas to move up in the ranks, get more traffic and therefore have a bigger, more kick-ass blog party here (yeah, and maybe someone will bring liquor, and then maybe things will get out of hand… and…) I’ve tried to organize the sidebar so that the voting ones are at the top. So far, these are the sites where you can vote for fracas. Most, you don’t have to register at, just click and run.
So, thanks. I do appreciate it, and I have it on good authority that there are some really interesting things on the threshold here.
