I thought I’d give everyone on the Monday Melee Participant list, a heads-up about Vic’s brilliant adaptation of a classic. (I knew you’d like that Vic)

This coming Monday, August 6, 2007 is known as Monday Melee “Say It With Lyrics” day. All Monday Melee’ers are invited to head over to Vic’s blog, sign up by leaving her a comment (after all, it was her brilliant idea not mine), and then while posting your Melee questions with your typical link back to Fracas, throw in a link to Vic’s blog so people know you’re taking part in an event like no other!

All you have to do is answer your Melee questions with song lyrics, and you’re in!

To help make sure everyone is aware they can take part, I’ve included the full participant list (to date)  complete with links. Hopefully, you’ll all get a trackback/pingback and will be able to come see what’s happening. Those that haven’t signed up as a Melee’er are welcome to just leave a comment stating your intention and I’ll add you to the list too! It’s that easy, and you know.. I’m not all that hard to please. The Melee involves no tagging, and if you miss a week, I don’t bite. Well I do bite sometimes, but only when I really mean business ( however no Melee’ers have actually been bitten to date).  If you’re unaware of what the Melee is, check out the original Monday Melee page  to find out.

For the full instructions on Vic’s new twist, check out the post Vic has at her blog, or this one at fracas. If you have any questions, you can leave a comment here or at Vic’s blog and one of us will answer you. Whatever you do though… mark your calendars and start digging through those cd’s mp3’s or hell, even your old vinyl if you have to. Just please… don’t tell us if you’ve had to go back to some 8-tracks. We’re not sure if we can handle that.

Please make sure to read the instructions thoroughly. This really was a fabulous idea that was all Vic’s and I don’t want to take credit for it. I think it’s great when Melee’ers get creative with how to answer the questions and I definitely think Vic should get some linkage for this! I know everyone doing the Melee has been super about including the fracas link in the post and so I just want to thank you all in advance for making sure to add a link to Vic’s for this special event.  I’ll close now, by being ultra corny.
