fracas

Jack McClellan, thy name is mud.

If you know who I’m writing about, you probably agree that his name is mud… or some other equally brown and pasty substance. If you haven’t heard about this story, you’re scratching your head and wondering who the hell Jack McClellan[1]  is.

Jack McClellan photo - credit Monica Almeida/The New York TimesJack McClellan is, according to this New York Times article, a self described pedophile who, despite being run out of Washington State by angry mothers, has vowed to set up shop again in California.

Because as McClellan put it, “There are so many world-class children’s attractions here, Disneyland, festivals and whatnot.”

McClellan makes it his goal to attend functions where children are present, take photos and place them on his website, “To promote association, friendship; and legal, nonsexual, consensual touch (hugging, cuddling, etc) between men and prepubescent girls.” He maintains that he has not actually sexually touched a child, but New York Times writer Jennifer Steinhauer quotes Lt. Thomas Sirkel, who works in the Special Victim’s Unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as stating, “Has he acted on it? I can’t say.” He then continues with, “But I’ve been in this business for 20 years, and I have never seen one who has not.”

McClellan is currently lives off of public assistance, described by him as “the kind where you’re not allowed to work” and lives mostly out of his vehicle. He occasionally rents rooms but for the most part, is of no fixed address. That doesn’t deter a new batch of mothers out to make sure he doesn’t have an easy go of his nasty hobbies. Peachheadfamilies.com is a site owned by a Los Angeles mom determined to thwart McClellan’s efforts. It is from her site, that caters to families and events in West Los Angeles, that I was able to obtain a link to these newscasts about the danger McClellan presents to local children and families. Not to leave the opposite side of town vulnerable to McClellan’s choice to flee Washington, another mom group called the Booby Brigade has stepped up to the plate. Willa Rogers postAt these forums a link was posted to a site I learned from a woman posting as Willa Rogers, is actually an archive of his downed site. Click the image to open a larger image of the actual Willa Rogers post, and view MCClellan’s site for yourself by clicking the word “archive” above.  Take note that while he claims to be innocent, he features links and makes statements such as:

“International cities where unsupervised girls can be found on the streets”
“Most libraries have special areas, programs, and events for children–and sometimes you can get quite close to LGs there (they’ve sat next to me at Internet terminals). Libraries also have free flyers, papers, and posted announcements that list local places and events where LGs may be present.”
“It might seem provocative to be hanging around elementary school playgrounds these days, but I’ve been surprised at how close you can get to some and how long you can loiter there without being noticed (or at least questioned). The best ones are those with businesses or other legitimate adult activity across the street or adjacent to the school–but don’t step on the school property unless there is some event occuring where it sounds like the general public is welcome (such as the holiday concert I attended in December). If the kids aren’t out on the playground, the next recess will probably be in less than 2 hours!”

Indeed, this is scary stuff to have to contend with if you’re a parent!

Though McClellan’s site has been taken down by his former internet service provider, and the above link to the old one is but an archived page, he vows to be online again using a Dutch host, continuing his efforts to find vulnerable children and use them for his own desires.

In researching this story, I’ve come to one absolute conclusion.

I don’t care how tolerant my own country chooses to be when confronted with creeps like Robin Sharpe, Peter Whitmore or the Jack McClellans of the world. I’m stating right here, right now… that if every mother in the United States of America succeeds in causing him to flee not just a State or two, but the entire country, he’d better not think about running to Canada.

He’s not welcome.

And I’ll make damn sure I scare up enough mothers here, who’ll kick his ass out of Canada also.

Jack McClellan, USA or Canada, thy name is mud. Go get yourself some damn psychological help before some angry mom out there makes good on the comment I read after the story about you over at this site. The comment? It was comment #5, and it read:

“There is a cure for this “disease”. It’s called a bullet. Someone needs to help this guy out with the cure.”

I’ve chosen to include links to images of his site. I’ve saved the screen captures of his site in case at some point, the web archive site chooses to remove it from their server as well. I do believe it should be available to others to see just what he’s really about. Please click these links below, and a larger image will open up. The site was a poorly designed one and being just one long page, it took 17 screen captures to fully capture the entire front page. Because the links won’t be clickable in the screen captures, I’ve also saved them as well. Perhaps at some point, if the web archive page should be withdrawn, I will just recreate the page at a separate site to make sure he never, ever has the chance to pretend he wasn’t using the internet to stalk children.

It is not ok to stalk innocent children for one’s own sexual pleasures. It is not ok to violate their innocence thereby traumatizing them and their families by doing what McClellan does.  It is not.

This story is proof, that we need never feel powerless against the dirt of the world. The greatest brick road is still built one brick at a time, and each person online who carries this story another step farther, is another brick in that road. Please take a moment to create a post that links back to this one, and mentions the need for us to be aware. He could run anywhere next. I’ve done the homework, now all you have to do is link to it.

Thank you!
