Fracas’ The Monday Melee for April 9, 2007
1. The Misanthtropic: Name something (about humanity) you absolutely hate.
Lack of loyalty. The way some people will place more importance on putting on a good show for others, or on what others think, than doing right by their family.
2. The Meretricious: Expose something or someone that’s phony, fraudulent or bogus.
“Religious” people. I’m Catholic and I love being a Catholic, but it makes me profoundly frustrated and sad at how many people treat it like it’s a part in a play instead of a way to live. It’e really so simple. Just treat others how you would truly and honestly want to be treated. I don’t see why that’s such a problem for so many people. Once upon a time, those people made me hate Catholics and rather be tied to a tree with someone poking a skunk aimed right at me than be one. I’m thankful I can separate those who pretend to be something from those who are, and not let them take that away from me.
3. The Malcontent: Name something you’re unhappy with.
I’m unhappy that because of this virus I’ve had and the cold weather that’s hanging around, I can’t get outside to walk enough. If I do, I spend the next day laid up in bed sick again.
4. The Meritorious: Give someone credit for something and name it if you can.
This week I’m giving credit to Mark. He could be such an asshole and no one would blame him, but yet, he’s not.
5. The Mirror: See something good about yourself and name it
I look good in my auburn hair.
6. The Make-Believe: Name something you wish for.
This week, since I plan on milking this blog tease thing for all its worth, I wish for something that I’m not going to tell you. It’s something awesome, and I’m keeping it all to myself! ;-)
Now it’s your turn.
You can take part in The Monday Melee, even make it a regular feature at your site by visiting The Monday Melee page and following the steps. Kick-start your brain on Mondays and meet other bloggers.

Your #2 reminds me of a saying “Spiritual people inspire me, Religious people frighten me”
