This morning, you can go anywhere and find the stories written about the release of the autopsy results and the fact that Dr. Perper has determined there to be no foul play and no suicide. CNN has this report and TMZ has no less than 12 posts about it since the announcement two hours ago. The 13th is a post announcing “two hours to go” until the announcement. If you google “Anna Nicole Smith autopsy results”, as of right now, you’ll get 965 results. Rather than try link you up to all the TMZ posts, I’ll just link you to the tag for Anna Nicole Smith at their site.
Picking through all those stories, you’ll find that they all tell the same tale. She did have an infection, caused by an injection she received passing through an abcess under the skin and causing the infection to enter her body. Apparently, despite the 105 degree fever she was suffering, the antibiotics were working as the infection was not found in her blood and so the infection was not the cause of her death. There were no illegal drugs found in her system, but the legal (prescription) drugs in her system numbered nine. From the article, Drug Combo Killed Anna;
- “Dr. Perper concluded was combined drug intoxication, including anxiety and depression medication, valium, ativan and antihistamine. She also had chloral hydrate, which was the major component in her death.”
In addition, it was noted on CNN’s Headline News Channel, that Anna was also taking a Human Growth Hormone, somewhat of a fad among celebrities these days, for the reported benefits of staying younger looking longer. This was said not to be a contributing factor. It was also reported that Methodone was found in her bile, meaning she had not taken if for several days prior to her death, thereby also ruling it out as a contributing factor.
So it’s been decided that she simply accidentally took too much sleep medication, and that perhaps all the doctors prescribing the medications to her did not know about the others.
Here’s the problem with that.
We’ve all been sick with a really bad flu or something. We all know that once a person is as physically sick as she was, there ain’t no damn way we’re getting up to get our own meds. She had a fever of 105 degrees, was vomiting earlier and was bedridden.
Someone had to have been doling out the meds to her.
Why is anyone considering this accidental?
She may be a person everyone loves to make fun of. She may be a person people call names and love to hate, but she deserves, like anyone else would, the truth to come out about how someone failed her and in failing her, that someone also robbed Dannielynn of a mother. I’m not saying it was murder and it’s being covered up. No… there will be others who will do that. I’m saying someone failed her miserably and she deserves for that to come out. So does Dannielynn.
Anna wanted to be remembered. She has gotten her wish.
I hope though, that she ends up remembered because the circumstances of her death and life have taught someone else out there, that money and fame and celebrity don’t buy happiness, and that prescription drugs can kill you just as easily as heroin or meth.

Pingback by blogitude.com » Blog Archive » Which Squirrel is Cuter? March 26, 2007 @ 12:33 pmOh oy. I just mean that if someone had a hand in giving her too much medication, they should have to answer for it. I’d feel the same if the deceased weren’t famous. Everyone’s family has a right to know that when they lose someone they love (even if we hate them, can’t stand them or think they’re a big plastic barbie) that anyone responsible in any way will have to answer for it.
Comment by fracas March 26, 2007 @ 5:30 pmOh yeah… that’s what I needed to see… Hey! I posted self-portraits on my blog! I’m no Anna Nicole… buy hey…

I overdosed on anna nicole’s gigantic boobs.
Seriously.
Sad, that sordid affair. I am surprised newt didnt hit on her slimey mother.
Comment by Sauerkraut March 27, 2007 @ 9:02 pmTo sd’s comment – sure JFK died of a bullet… but he wasn’t addicted to them and he didn’t seek out people that would happily supply him with more bullets until too many killed him.
Anna Nicole was a drug addict. Anyone that tried to get her off drugs was cut out of her life. IMHO, Howard Stern was the pathetic little man that would feed her addiction in order to live off her money. If he didn’t feed her addictions, she would have found someone else who would. That’s what addicts do.
I don’t know whether addiction is a mental illness, a psychosis or just plain addiction. I am not qualified to make that judgement call. But I do know that addicts seek out people that will support and feed their addiction. No one can “make” them stop and no one can prevent them from finding a supplier — until THEY want a different life. She didn’t. She died.
Any pawn in the game could have been the one to hand her those last few pills — they were just the ones that put it all over the edge. The straw that broke the camel’s back. The real issue was her drug addiction. That’s the take away lesson in this. Most drug addicts don’t die because of a couple of pills. They die because there is just too damn much of that sh*t in their body.
Just my two cents… *sigh*
Comment by LindaC March 28, 2007 @ 1:05 pmAll true LindaC. Having more experience with people you love choosing drugs than I ever wanted or wished to have though… it does infuriate me when those who happily supply the drugs to someone (often because of their own selfish needs related to that person) are never held responsible for doing so. An addict does have to want a better life before they will choose one (forcing treatment is often only temporary as a result) but the person enabling the addict is very like the person holding a bottle of something out to a hungry baby. An addict in the middle of it is simply not able to say no and therefore the person supplying it becomes the one who should know better.
It simply isn’t excusable to supply it saying that they will just find someone else to supply it anyway. I know that’s not really what you’re saying, but feel I have to make that point very loudly for those who might misunderstand it to mean that.
If Stern loved her so much, he would’ve orchestrated some form of Intervention rather than isolate her from everyone.
And the bottom line for me is that she was clearly too sick during thsoe three days, to medicate herself. Someone else must have and that person is responsible. Might not be homicide, but it certainly isn’t nothing. Furthermore, if they want us to believe she was so sick and still medicated herself… being so sick… how easy would it have been for someone who really loved her, to keep the damn medication OUT of her hands?
I think it’s all a bunch of hooey that will come out eventually.
Comment by fracas March 28, 2007 @ 1:25 pmAgreed. Ditto on the “more experience than I ever wanted” part. My experience with loved ones using booze, pills and pot goes way farther than I would post, but suffice it to say I have very strong feelings on the issues.
I am also familiar with the concept of loved ones who try to force intervention sometimes just getting ousted. But no, that doesn’t mean they should endorse it.
I found Birkhead’s “puzzle” comment very interesting. I’m sure he’s right and it will all come out… especially the statement that’s supposed to be read at her son’s inquest. But I’m glad to see him (Birkhead) baby shopping. Maybe the little girl has half a chance at a decent life, depending on what they announce next week.
